10 Lektionen in dieser Stufe

  1. Freezing Scope and Planning the Release
Fix the feature set, define done and plan the remaining work with risks. · Lab: Create a release plan with milestones, a risk list and acceptance criteria.
  2. Firmware Architecture Review and Refactoring into Modules
Check the code structure against the requirements and clean up before integration. · Lab: Draw the module diagram, remove dead code and resolve all static-analysis findings.
  3. Integrating Sensors, Communication, Storage and Power Management
Combine all subsystems on the real hardware and resolve their interactions. · Lab: Bring the complete firmware up on a pilot unit and run it for 24 hours.
  4. Deriving a Verification Test Plan from the Requirements
Trace every requirement to a test with method and pass criterion. · Lab: Write the traceability matrix and automate as many tests as possible.
  5. Environmental and Soak Testing
Expose units to temperature, humidity, vibration and long run times within safe home-lab means. · Lab: Run a week-long soak with temperature cycling and log every anomaly.
  6. Validating Power, Range and Performance Against Targets
Measure the key figures and compare them with the specification. · Lab: Measure battery life projection, radio range and response times and record pass or fail.
  7. Security Review and Release Signing
Re-check the threat model, close findings and produce the signed release build. · Lab: Walk through the threat model, fix open items and build the signed release in CI.
  8. Pilot Production Run and First-Article Inspection
Build the batch with your documentation and jig and inspect the first unit in detail. · Lab: Assemble and test five units and record yield and assembly time.
  9. User Documentation, Support Channels and Warranty Basics
Prepare what customers need to install, use and get help. · Lab: Finalise the manual, a quick-start card and a support and returns procedure.
  10. Launch Retrospective and Planning Revision B
Evaluate the project honestly and plan the next hardware and firmware revision. · Lab: Write a retrospective and a prioritised change list for revision B.

Abschlussprojekt

A finished, documented field sensor and control node: verified against its requirements, security-reviewed, signed, produced as a pilot batch, managed through your fleet backend and ready for first customers.
