10 Lektionen in dieser Stufe

  1. Turning an Idea into a Requirements List
Write testable requirements before touching hardware. · Lab: Write ten "the device shall" statements for your station and mark each must or nice-to-have.
  2. Drawing a Wiring Diagram and Pin Map
Document every connection so the build can be repeated. · Lab: Draw the station schematic and a table of GPIO, wire colour and function.
  3. Splitting a Script into Functions and Modules
Organise growing code into files with clear responsibilities. · Lab: Split one long script into sensors.py, camera.py and main.py and import between them.
  4. Settings in a JSON Configuration File
Move pin numbers and thresholds out of the code. · Lab: Load pins, intervals and limits from config.json with sensible defaults when a key is missing.
  5. Command-Line Options with argparse
Give a program flags and built-in help. · Lab: Add --config, --interval and --dry-run options to the station program.
  6. Replacing print with the logging Module
Record events with levels, timestamps and a log file. · Lab: Add INFO, WARNING and ERROR messages and write them to a file as well as the console.
  7. Soldering Header Pins and Wires Safely
Make reliable solder joints and work safely with a hot iron. · Lab: Solder a header strip and six wires to practice board and inspect each joint.
  8. Moving from Breadboard to Perfboard
Transfer a tested circuit to a permanent board without errors. · Lab: Plan the layout on paper, build the station board and test continuity before power.
  9. Fitting a Project into an Enclosure
Mount boards, relieve cable strain and keep the Pi cool. · Lab: Mount the Pi on standoffs, route sensor cables through glands and check temperature under load.
  10. Writing a Test Checklist and a Build Guide
Verify the device against its requirements and document it. · Lab: Run each requirement as a test, record pass or fail and write a two-page build guide.

Abschlussprojekt

An enclosed weather-and-security station on soldered perfboard that reads sensors, takes a snapshot on motion, is configured from a file and ships with your own build guide.
