- Capstone Hardware Assembly and Bring-Up
Build three units to the design and verify each against the bring-up plan. · Lab: Assemble the gateways, run the bring-up checklist and record measurements per serial number. - Capstone Data Acquisition Layer
Read field and on-board sensors through the hardware abstraction layer with fault handling. · Lab: Implement polling of Modbus and I2C sensors with timeouts, retries and quality flags. - Local Storage, Buffering and Store-and-Forward
Keep data through network outages and deliver it in order afterwards. · Lab: Buffer readings durably, unplug the network for an hour and verify nothing is lost or duplicated. - Capstone Local Web Interface and API
Give installers a secure page for status, configuration and diagnostics. · Lab: Build a status and commissioning page with role-based login served over TLS. - Capstone Production Image: Read-Only, Signed and Reproducible
Produce the release image through your pipeline. · Lab: Tag a release and let the pipeline build, test on the rig and sign the image and update bundle. - Enrolling the Pilot Fleet
Provision the three units through the factory process and register them. · Lab: Run the end-of-line station for each unit and confirm identity, inventory entry and VPN reachability. - Rolling Out a Capstone OTA Release with a Canary
Ship a real update safely and exercise rollback. · Lab: Release version 1.1 to one unit, promote it, then push a faulty 1.2 and confirm automatic rollback. - Fleet Dashboards and Alerts for the Capstone
Operate the product from one screen with actionable alerts. · Lab: Build the fleet dashboard and alerts for offline, sensor fault, storage and update failure. - Acceptance Testing: Soak, Power-Cut and Network-Loss Runs
Prove the requirements are met with recorded evidence. · Lab: Run a 72-hour soak, 500 power cuts and scripted network outages and file a test report. - Handover: Runbooks, Support Process and Maintenance Plan
Make the product maintainable by someone who did not build it. · Lab: Write runbooks for the five likeliest incidents and a twelve-month maintenance and update calendar.
Abschlussprojekt
A finished product: three industrial monitoring gateways on a read-only, signed, A/B-updatable image, enrolled in your fleet, monitored and alerting, having passed soak, power-cut and network-loss tests, with runbooks for whoever maintains them.
